San Francisco is one of the most beautiful locations in the United States, with its steep hills and views across the bay. It's a wonderful city to see by foot or by cable car, offering a cosmopolitan lifestyle with a leisurely pace.
The city can be divided up into several neighbourhoods, the names of which may already be familiar. Pacific Heights, Nob Hill, Haight-Ashbury and Little Italy have all featured in many films and TV programmes. Each area has its own attractions, from famous sights to architectural gems to shops and boutiques.
A fully integrated public transport system makes it very easy to get around.
There are so many things to see and do in this city that the hardest part is knowing where to start.
Of course you won't want to leave without seeing the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf or Chinatown. Along the way, you'll see picturesque views of the city that are just perfect for photographs.
Directly across the Golden Gate Bridge is Marin County with its charming towns, mountains and state parks. Students may take advantage of day trips to Napa Valley wineries, Monterey, Carmel, Yosemite Park or Redwood National Parks. Disneyland and Universal Studios are just one hour away by regularly scheduled flights.

Our modern school is located downtown in the Financial District at the entrance to Chinatown, within walking distance of Union Square and theatres. Buses, subways, and cable cars all stop near the school.
